Peak Downs Mine – Supervisor Development – Feb 2001 :

  • Improving Supervisor performance through the Supervisor Step Up program.
  • Ensuring that all work conducted by front line supervisors contributes value to the operation.

Blackwater Mine – Mining, Mobile Maintenance & Coal Processing– April / Dec 2000 :

  • CPP Improvement Project targeting 20% improvement. Analysed current processing performance and established actual to potential performance.
  • Developed an Operational Model for the Processing Plant with Operators and Tradesmen creating ownership and involvement in business problems. Developed action plan for Management, Operators & Tradesmen to address business problems
  • Outcome of an improvement in tonnes railed of 45% to date.
  • Mining & Maintenance Improvement Project targeting 15% improvement. Analysed current mining performance and established actual to potential performance.
  • Set up Management, Operator & Tradesmen ownership and involvement in business problems through the development of an action plan for Management, Operators & Tradesmen to address business problems.

  • Bookkeeping (GST/BAS) – MYOB - Set up of business accounts, Processing business transactions, Reports generated, Liaise with your Accountant.
  • Payroll – Micropay & MYOB - Calculate individual pay entitlements for each employee., Maintain payroll records and leave registers, Complete annual reconciliation & preparation of group certificates, Calculate group tax & superannuation.
  • Spreadsheets - Microsoft Excel & Quattro Pro - Custom spreadsheets, Graphing, Pivot tables reports, What If analysis.

  • Established with Supervision and experienced Operators the new work practices and standards to resolve performance problems. Established with Mining Technical Support the “mining process” and key drivers and flow charted.
  • Established with Supervision and experienced Operators operations models for Haul roads, HSC Shift change, HSC Crib, Quality Mining, Planning & Scheduling, Shovel Operations and relocation, Drill & blast.
  • Set up trials of new work practices with respect to: Hot Seat Change – Shift Change, Haul Road construction and maintenance, Shiftly planning in a 7 day context
